Maudlin Pond Press... on Tybee Island
Glenn Rose McFaddin brings diverse experiences to her storytelling. After a rewarding career spanning nursing and legal work, she has returned to a lifelong interest in writing. The inspiration for her debut novella, Intermezzo - Mystery in Southern Italy, was found in her notes from a long-ago trip to southern Italy and Capri with her late husband. She has blended several real-life experiences from that time with an imaged story of mystery, beauty and heartfelt connections found on Anacapri, high above the rocky coast of the Mediterranean Sea. Glenn writes from her home in a small South Carolina town, supported by the encouragement of her family.
Elizabeth Mitchell is crossing the ocean in an effort to find her way, dealing with loss and uncertainty. On the invitation of her younger brother Edward, her only surviving relative, she visits with him at his ancient villa on the island of Capri, isolated and high on rocky cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Surrounded by beauty and danger, Elizabeth faces decisions of trust and love. Through the interlude between her home in Atlanta and her time with her brother on Capri, between all that is familiar, and all that is unfamiliar and challenging to her, she discovers that this Italian intermezzo can change the course of her life.
